Plantation Homes
Plantation Homes was established in 1995 and has always had a close tie to the community, in particular the hospitals in Queensland.
In 2007 Plantation Homes launched the House for Life project—committing to building and auctioning three homes with the aim of raising $1.5 million for Mater's Neonatal Critical Care Unit.
So far two houses have been auctioned, one in North Lakes and another in Springfield Lakes. The third house will be built in Upper Coomera and auctioned later this year.
This money will ensure seriously ill and premature babies receive specialised medical and nursing care.
The Neonatal Critical Care Unit at Mater Mothers' Hospital is one of the largest neonatalogy units in the Southern Hemisphere, treating infants from all over Queensland and Northern NSW.
Plantation Homes, builder of family homes, is helping support families.
